Landscape and ornamental plants programme educates intermediate staff working on creating open and green spaces, doing the maintenance and repair work of these spaces, growing, preserving and marketing ornamental plants. |
Purpose |

Our goal as Landscape and Ornamental Plants Programme is to train qualified, skilled, experienced professionals the sectors need on the basis of national requirements. Also, it is intended to train qualified stuff who are aware of the realities of the country and the world, conscious about the environment, and respectful to the ethical values, and who use information and communication technologies and create difference in the workplace with their strong personality and social skills |

The Objective of Landscape and Ornamental Plants Program is to train landscape technicians, -Who possess national and international level qualifications in the field, -Who can read and implement landscape planning and design projects, -Who know the features of structural and herbal material, and who can perform these -Who can do landscape maintenance and repair jobs, -Who investigate, question, develop themselves, share their knowledge and skills and possess self-confidence, -Who has environmental, social and ethical values and who can pull together and collaborate. |
Acceptance Requirements |

Prospective students are placed by SSPC (OSYM) with their high school diploma and with the exam results they have received from SDK (YGS). |
Graduation Requirements |
: |
Students who successfully complete all compulsory courses specified in the course plan and the minimum number of elective courses required; complete 120 ECTS credits and have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/ 4.00 will graduate. |
Degree |

A student studying in Landscape and Ornamental Crops Program takes theoretical and practical course work and takes a total of 120 ECTS in the field at the end of two years education. Students are given the title of Associate's Degree and Landscape Technician in the field of Landscape and Ornamental Plants Program when the program is successfully completed and the program competencies are provided. |
Transition |

Students who graduate from this program can transit to bachelor’s degree programs of Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, Forestry Engineering, Production and Marketing of Cultivated plants and Horticultural Crops by External Transfer Exam (DGS). |
Employement Opportunities |
: |
Graduate students work as a qualified intermediate staff in project and implementation offices of landscape architecture in the private sector; greenhouses and nurseries that grow ornamental plants and municipalities, research centers, Bank of Provinces, public institutions, such as agricultural research institutes. In addition, they can establish their own offices that perform services as greenhouse, nursery landscape maintenance or repair. |
